Who we are?
中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院(以下简称“先进院“)由中国科学院、深圳市政府、香港中文大学于2006年在深圳共同组建。

经过十三年发展,先进院目前已初步构建了以科研为主的集科研、教育、产业、资本为一体的微型协同创新生态系统,由九个研究平台(中国科学院香港中文大学深圳先进集成技术研究所、生物医学与健康工程研究所、先进计算与数字工程研究所、生物医药与技术研究所、广州中国科学院先进技术研究所、脑认知与脑疾病研究所、合成生物学研究所(筹)、先进材料科学与工程研究所(筹)、前瞻性科学与技术中心),国科大深圳先进技术学院,多个特色产业育成基地(深圳龙华、平湖及上海嘉定)、多支产业发展基金、多个具有独立法人资质的新型专业科研机构(深圳创新设计研究院、深圳北斗应用技术研究院、中科创客学院、济宁中科先进技术研究院、天津中科先进技术研究院、珠海中科先进技术研究院、苏州先进技术研究院、杭州先进技术研究院、武汉中科先进技术研究院、山东中科先进技术研究院)等组成。
Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT)-Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shenzhen was jointly established by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and the Shenzhen Municipal Government in 2006. Over the past 12 years, SIAT has earned an outstanding reputation for translating findings from basic research into industrial application under the efforts of the interdisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers. The wide-ranging expertise drawing from technical, engineering or science professions has now positioned SIAT at the interface between biology technologies (BT) and information technologies (IT) for the 21st century innovation

Why SIAT?

先进院承载着建设“人才一流、科研一流、管理一流”工业研究院使命,“人才一流”是基础,如今先进院已经拥有一支素质过硬、结构合理的多元化团队,已成为高端人才聚集的新高地。经过十余年努力,逐步建立了先进院的引才优势与特点,依托国家和地方的重要引进人才计划,从顶尖学府引进了一批高水平的核心骨干人才全时来院工作,确保博士以上员工65%以上从海外引进。围绕一三五学科布局和区域战略新兴产业需求,“整团队成建制”引进了22支创新团队,受到了地方政府的大力支持,团队落地后陆续孵化创新企业,形成重要的产业带动作用。截至2017年底,先进院人员规模达2453人,其中员工1376人,学生1077人,拥有530名海归精英。
先进院坚持应用牵引,服务区域经济,积极开展成果转移转化,形成产业聚集效应,努力成为创新驱动发展的新力量和推动产业转型发展的新引擎。为提高科研成果转化率,先进院从组建开始的定位就贴近市场需求,从科研项目立项再到人才引进均以产业化为目标,即采取科研与产业化结合的双螺旋战略,同时在发展中不断建立和健全产业化专业队伍。 累计与华为、中兴、创维、腾讯、美的、海尔等知名企业签订工业委托开发及成果转化合同逾500个,合作开展产学研项目申报超过700个。支撑溢出创新机构7个,与地方政府和企业有效衔接,加快科技成果转化和产业化,建立了完整的产业链。与地方企业累计共建实验室20余个,派出企业特派员110余名。
SIAT aims to consistently boost the innovative capacity of the various high-tech industries in the known Asia’s Silicon Valley region (Shenzhen-Guangdong-HongKong), actively promote the development of modern possessing their own proprietary intellectual property, and become a world-class industrial research institute. Over the past 12 years, SIAT has made significant achievements in human resource development, academic research and technology Transfer.
To meet the nation’s needs in healthcare and automation industry, SIAT focuses on emerging industries such as low-cost healthcare, service robots, electric vehicles, cloud computing, digital cities, nano-medicine, new energy and new materials.
By far SIAT has established partnerships with more than 1000 firms including Huawei, Midea and China International Marine Containers (Group) Ltd., among others. It has attracted over 2000 million CHF of industrial investment which incubated 727 high-technology companies in total.
SIAT has also established long-term cooperative ties with many foreign academic and research institutions, including Stanford University (USA), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), NICTA (Australia), TRLabs (Canada), the University of Hamburg (Germany), the University of Southampton (UK) and many other institutions.

Shenzhen Institute of Technology – Chinese Academy of Sciences is an independent, full-time university jointly constructed and managed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shenzhen City. Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology – Chinese Academy of Sciences is supported by Shenzhen Institute of Science and Technology – Chinese Academy of Sciences. Shenzhen Institute of Technology and SIAT will start with jointly recruiting, jointly training graduate students and sharing scientific research platforms. We will gradually realize the integration and development.
